Awarding-winning exhibition stand design
Top prize for stand design for international medical device exhibition
The Orthofix team were looking for a striking and distinct design for their stand for the British Orthopaedic Association annual conference and exhibition. The team had been inspired by Andy Warhol graphics and so were keen to see if this design influence might be possible for medical products, quite a radical departure from typical graphics for marketing medical devices at a conference.
Our design solution was to lead with the products themselves. We worked with just images of the medical devices and designed these with a Warhol-esque treatment. We determined that no text should be used for this large panel including no company name, only the Orthofix marque as a stylised branding visual. This was both intriguing and perhaps a little controversial for the audience, thus provoking a conversation. One side panel included an inset monitor. All the side panels and counters we designed with curated white space, allowing the central panel to be framed and so be the focus of the stand.
From over 70 exhibitors, our design won first prize for Best Exhibition Stand Design. The design inspired both increased interest and engagement with Orthofix products from attendees, more than in previous years of exhibiting at this annual conference. The Orthofix team were thrilled with the result.
