Annual magazine for the Rhodes community
For second edition of Rhodes Scholar, as well as designing the magazine, we had opportunity to create a number of bespoke illustrations and graphic treatments. The editorial illustration for the 'Democracy in the City' piece was inspired by the key idea of the article; that urban communities should contribute to the evolution and governance of their spaces. We designed infographics for a number of spreads such as visuals to represent the past and current cohort of The Mandela Rhodes Foundation.
Other design highlights of this issue include depicting Ophelia in the Mississippi river and a drawing of that classic Oxford scene - a man dressed in a fish suit, sat in a lawn chair, reading a romance novel...
